Entrepreneurs First pioneered talent investing — backing individuals before they have a cofounder, team, or idea. Founded in 2011 by Matt Clifford and Alice Bentinck, EF has helped create 600+ companies collectively valued at $16B+. In 2023 EF shifted its centre of gravity to San Francisco, requiring all companies to relocate to the Bay Area before Demo Day.

Entrepreneurs First Programs

Core Program — Twice a year across London, Paris, Bangalore. Join as an individual, spend 12 weeks finding a cofounder. Strongest teams receive $250K ($125K for 8% SAFE + $125K MFN SAFE) and relocate to San Francisco.

The Bridge — Launched 2025. Eight-week SF residency for European founders. Cohorts of 40-50, housing and food covered. Strongest teams receive $250K.
